Hearthstone Magazine

The Hearthstone is the only regular journal dedicated to Emmaus history. It was published annually in print for more than 40 years, and is transitioning to a new, digital identity.

The Heathstone features essays, remembrances and reports on the Shelter House and local history. Recent topics have included:

• Biographies on the Revolutionary War veterans buried in Emmaus’ God’s Acre cemetery

• On-site curator Dean Bortz’s reflections on 40 years living in a colonial treasure

• Profiles of prominent longtime local residents
